Summer Break and CTA Summer Surveys
Good afternoon, CTA members.
I want to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and well-deserved summer break! Whether this was your 1st year or your 40th year teaching, it is safe to say it was an experience like no other.
CTA staff will be working all summer with the SDPBC to ensure that plans and agreements are negotiated, disseminated, and clearly conveyed to employees in preparation for the upcoming school year. Many of the answers you may wish to know right now will not be available until more dialogue has taken place between the SDPBC/CTA and parents/students/community stakeholders. As stated previously, safety is our #1 priority regarding any decisions that will be made as to how instruction can best be delivered and when school-based operations may be able to resume.
If you have any questions or concerns during summer break, do not hesitate to contact the myself or your CTA staff Labor Relations Consultant (LRC).
During the next few weeks, CTA will be sending out links to a variety of surveys on the topics listed below to solicit member input.
Your experiences and suggestions are critical for CTA as an organization to prepare for the upcoming school year.
